Verizon has said they will pay $60 for a 16GB iPhone 2G, $105 for a 16GB iPhone 3G, $160 for a 32GB iPhone 3GS, $280 for a 16GB iPhone 4, and $360 for a 32GB iPhone 4.
The iPhones will be available in limited numbers to early customers on February 3rd. This is however a VERY limited number. So only a very few of us will get them. The rest of us will have to wait until the official launch on the 10th. It is still unknown if Verizon will actually have enough iPhones on the actual launch day to meet the demand.

So what will Verizon do with the iPhones that they can't sell back into their system? Put them up on ebay/craigslist? Sell them back to at&t? This makes no sense.

ReplyDeleteVerizon and most other carriers, offer trade in value for ALL phones, not just iPhones. They do a lot of different things with them. Usually they donate them to various charities, like Phones for Soldiers. This works out great for them, because they can then write the full retail value of the phones off of their quarterly taxes as a donation to charity.
$105.00 trade in for my 3GS 16gb? I read that right? Or sell for $200-250.. That sounds like better deal..
ReplyDeleteI would agree with you Sherry. However, many people are not comfortable with posting their items on the internet for sale. And others just do not want the hassle.
