Why is there STILL no iPad 2 Jailbreak?

So like many of you, I have been patiently and anxiously awaiting the Jailbreak for the iPad 2. All the iPhones have new Jailbreaks, even the original iPad does. So why doesn't the iPad 2?
Well quite simply put... It is danged hard to do! That is why. The Dev Team have been struggling with the new iDevice since it's launch. It turns out that Apple has a few tricks up it's sleeve with the A5 chip. It is no secret that Apple does not like Jailbreaker's. Even though Jailbreaking was deemed legal and well within our consumer rights by the US Copyright office, Apple has been intent on putting a stop to it.

Previously, Jailbreaks generally were hacks of the boot rom, which is essentially like the boot sector on your computer's hard drive. In the new A5 chip however, the boot rom is ON the CPU, rather than in a tangible memory space. So basically they cannot mess with it, without some seriously advanced equipment.

What does this mean for you and I? Well, unless you are a brilliant hardware hacker and able to help out at the Dev Team, not much else but be patient. They are working on alternative methods and I am sure they WILL prevail. It is just going to take a while. Hopefully before the iPad 3 :D
