Apple to release iPhone 4S in September.. NOT iPhone 5!

Forbes is reporting that Apple will NOT be releasing an iPhone 5 in September. Instead, it will be the iPhone 4S. And with it's roll out, Sprint, T-Mobile and China Mobile will likely be getting the iPhone 4S.

Jefferies & Co. analyst Peter Misek has been quoted as saying,
“According to our industry checks, the device should be called iPhone 4S and include minor cosmetic changes, better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ support,” he writes in a research note.
But he also says that “industry checks indicate Apple will likely announce Sprint, T-Mobile, and China Mobile as new carriers.”

But what about LTE for Verizon's 4G network?
Peter Misek has said, As for LTE, the Qualcomm LTE chipset Apple would have used “is currently not achieving yields sufficient for inclusion in the iPhone 5.” Apple had hoped to have the LTE chipsets ready, but was planning a version without LTE called iPhone 4S.

So yes, the 4G iPhone for Verizon will likely not come out until the iPhone 5 does next year.  However, we will likely see faster iPhone 4's this year, much like we did with the iPhone 3 and the 3GS.
